Job title: Product / Graphic / Visual Design

Join date: April 2020

What do you do in your role at Allinfra?

I'm a UI/UX designer at Allinfra. I basically move pixels around all day, but there’s a catch: there’s a logic behind it. I make sure that everything is crisp and tidy, with a modern look. Having a product that is easy to use and understand is also a big part of my role. Keeping things simple is the key to achieving this.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I enjoy working with a team that understands the need of using cutting-edge technologies to solve the problems that we are facing today. Everyday we are challenged to understand the needs and behaviour of people, and come up with solutions to their problems. Together we are able to develop products that help make the world a better place, in hope for a better tomorrow.

Why did you choose to join Allinfra?

I really liked the idea behind Allinfra. Making software that helps the climate market, and therefore the planet, is really cool. Going through a pandemic and seeing how a temporary pause in our activities reduced the pollution drastically makes you wonder what effect a revolution in the climate market would have. Aiming to help companies achieve their sustainability goals with software is an easy and efficient way to make a big impact.

What’s the most unique part about working here?

Being a remote-first company gives you a lot of flexibility. It also challenges you to be more productive. Given the fact that you do your own thing, you try to be as efficient as you can.

The startup environment is also nice – things move fast and you get to see the structure of things evolving, changing shape and eventually become products.

The fact that we use blockchain technology is probably one of the best parts. Seeing how you can integrate this technology into the products, working with it and understanding how it works is fantastic.

How do you like to spend your time when you aren’t working?

I like spending time with my family and friends, playing computer games and tinkering with stuff.

What’s the greatest bit of professional advice you’ve ever been given?

Be curious and never stop learning.

What is one thing people don’t know about you?

I’m actually an undercover software engineer. I have a bachelor degree in computer science, but I like designing things more. And I like cheese … a lot.
