HK Fintech Week 2021 Recap

Hong Kong Fintech Week 2021 took place last week from November 1-5. Offering both a physical experience and live streaming sessions, the hybrid event was a great success and Team Allinfra was very pleased to be a part of it. Here's what you may have missed.

Green Bond Tokenization Webinar

First, Allinfra co-founder and CEO Dave Sandor took part in a virtual panel discussion organised by Digital Asset. It was a wonderful opportunity for representatives from Allinfra, GFT Group, Digital Asset and Octopus Holdings Limited to share insights on combining blockchain, smart contracts, IoT and digital assets to enable green investments as well as help issuers and governments to meet environmental and sustainability goals.

Project Genesis: Deep Dive

On Thursday, Allinfra was on the main stage at HK Fintech Week as part of a panel discussion on Project Genesis. Our team provided the technology for the gathering and reporting of verifiable data on this green bond project.

Marcel Bluhm of Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub moderated the panel and was joined by Dave as well as representatives from Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Digital Asset and Standard Chartered to present the two prototype digital platforms that aim to enable investment in green bonds with higher transparency and greater access to retail investors.

New Report on Technology-driven Green Finance

During HKFTW, Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub announced the successful conclusion of Project Genesis and released three reports along with its press release. Allinfra contributed to one of these reports: A Vision for Technology-driven Green Finance, diving into the subject of blockchain as base infrastructure for the project.
